Y2K AESTHETIC INSTITUTE (2016)
Logo for Y2K Aesthetic Institute.
Y2K Aesthetic Institute was created by Seattle based designer Evan Collins whose mission was to preserve all things blobby, shiny and most importantly, futuristic. Since its inception in early 2016, Y2K Aesthetic Institute has gained over 40,000 followers and has been featured on news sites such as The Guardian, Paper, i-D and Stitch.
In early 2017, Murrieta based transmedia designer and ArtCenter College of Design graduate Froyo Tam took over as an administrator for the Facebook group. She has since created a plethora of research groups documenting a wide variety of aesthetics ranging from the glossy skeumorphism of Frutiger Aero to the tounge-in-cheek trends of Bougie Design Aesthetics.
Logotype for California based hardcore rave music producer Nakura.
My goal was to design something that visually represented how energetic and forward-thinking Nakura’s music is while still feeling a bit nostalgic to her audience.
